Thank God that U2 is re-issuing its first three albums because I just knew that there was something truly important -- and not at all annoying -- missing from my life. When my brother and I were in high school we bought a 1967 Chevy Impala with a 283 V8 and 4 barrel carb, complete leaky fuel line and a hole in the roof above the rear view mirror, paying $25 for it. U2 have joined the promotional leagues of Madonna. Bono and Co. have signed a 12-year deal with music conglomerate Live Nation, the company who last year inked a groundbreaking $120 million, ten year, three album deal with Madonna. U2 will however continue to release its records and publishing commitments with Universal Music Group. U2 is currently in a Dublin studio recording their follow-up to 2004's How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb with producer Daniel Lanois and Brian Eno.
