It was a tough decision picking one track from the long awaited, surprisingly awesome POTUSOA album "These Are Good Times People".
I decided to go with a track that is solid proof that, yup, the Presidents are back - and can now reclaim the dusty, unused, #1 american goof-rock 3-string guitar band trophy.
enjoy the pure Presidents "LadyBug", from an album that delivers on it's promise.

It kills me to admit it, but I'm getting older. I’ve never minded the battle for a spot at the barricade at shows; I have used my sharpened elbows more than once to defend my territory. Happily, most of the time and at most shows, the people in the crowd are very nice, just a little too close...like "check the paternity of the baby" close sometimes. One of my all time favorite live performers, The Presidents of the United States of America have a new album and the resulting tour coming in March (I have my tickets for the Seattle show...do you have yours?). And, as of today, they have a video for their first single, Mixed Up SOB ! Directed by Weird Al Yankovic, it is, in PUSA's own words, "pretty flippin' awesome." Check it out and see if you agree. So next month on March 11th the Presidents of the United States of America are releasing their newest and possibly last album which will be entitled "These Are The Good Times People". It's their first album in three years and they think it may very well be their best yet. On it features Northwest legends The Fastbacks' and Young Fresh Fellows' own Kurt Bloch. I've been told it's has a variety of differenty beats including a horn section in some. I'm kind of disappointed ... MORE

i've been frickin' obsessed with this song as of lately. so i've decided i love this band in general, but there;s just something about this song that's incredibly catchy.. listen to it and you'll see what i mean. :3

I think its awesome they have a new record coming out next month. And they're doing this contest right now where the city with the most demands (votes) gets a show from them in their city! haha. it'd be awesome to see them. when i was first started listening to them, i was too young to goto shows. http://www.eventful.com/pusa

I'm sure that almost everyone remembers the Presidents of the United states of America's only real hit, "Peaches". You know, "movin' to the country, gonna eat a lotta peaches" and so on and so forth. Maybe my favorite band of all time. Not because they've created the best music that I've ever listened to, but rather that they were what I was listening to during a part of my life that I'll always have fond memories for. Also, these guys are really fun to be around, and they're SUPER nice to their fans.

Not even ninjas can get between P.O.T.U.S.A. and their peaches.
On a side note, there is a long standing argument between me and my college roommate on whether or not this is a dirty song. I'm still not sure.

Last Saturday I went to see The Presidents of the United States of America with a couple of my friends. We had a fabulous time and surprisingly, the Presidents rock! I never have listened to them and thought "wow, they really can play the guitar" but wow, they can really play the guitar!
