While Iceland is suffering its own financial crisis, the country's own Sigur Ros are trying to restore some calm with their official video for the Med Sud I Eyrum Vid Spilum Endalaust track "Inní Mér Syngur Vitleysingur (Within Me a Lunatic Sings.)" At first I thought it was somethign wrong with my computer, but seems the new Sigur Ros video for the Med Sud I Eyrum Vid Spilum Endalaust track "Við spilum endalaust" isn't striving for perfection. Think of it as finding beauty in the abstract. The distorted video traces the band on the road.

Sigur Rós make landscape music. It’s kinetic, progressive, scenic, responsive, complimentary. Subtle, yet emotive and powerful, the Icelandic group’s fifth album, med sud i eyrum vid spilum endalaust (which translates to "with a buzz in our ears we play endlessly"), is not drastically different from Sigur Rós’s previous work. I Just got home from seeing Sigur Ros. Swooooooooooooooon. The deed is done. I can die... right after I see them again. I was sitting up on the third tier, where I got a great view of the band as well as everyone's iphone. The acoustics at Benaroya Hall are amazing. The band couldn't sound any better live. Með Suð í Eyrum Við Spilum Endalaust!!! (Try saying that fast ten times.) Yeah, it's pretty easy to confuse that little fragment with some J.R.R. Tolkien Elvish language scripture but the-not-so-little phrase happens to be the title of Sigur Rós fifth studio album. ahh there is nothing like a great find at a used record store... I have been a Sigur Ros fan for quite some time now and often go through periodic phases of obsession (as you do w/ any great band).
So lately, i met this new friend, Kristin and she lovvvves Sigur Ros just as much as i do (dare i say, if not more) and she has brought Sigur Ros back to one of my top played artists according to the Mog prog..

I'd heard so much about Sigur Ros live before I got to see them myself, so to say I was excited before this show would be something of an understatement. So did they justify the hype? Oh, absolutey. The sound was unbelievable at times, and in a venue as ordinary as the Hordern Pavilion, getting the big, rich and well-mixed sound for which Sigur Ros is so wel known would be a challenge for the best of engineers. Sigur Rós have premiered the music video for ‘Við spilum endalaust ‘.
The track was taken off their latest album ‘Með suð í eyrum við spilum endalaust ‘.
Although not as good as their video for ‘Gobbledigook ‘, which featured several naked youth, this video is still pretty good.
