Ahhhh...charming drunkenness at its very best. Last nights show, or "rock and roll concert" as Adams enjoyed reminding the audience of, was surprisingly… extremely entertaining. I never ever get to see any of the latest Letterman performances until they are months, seasons old... (unless fellow MOGGERS are kind enough to share them, which they do)..
Due to copyright and caveats on outside US streaming, unless they are posted on youtube I never get to see them at all...
So I am a happy little vegemite today to see this, only days later...

Ryan Adams is on a roll - at least, as far as I’m concerned. The straight-to-the-heart Easy Tiger album that he released a few months back has become the most played Adams item in my library. It’s certainly my favorite at the moment. And now, he’s turned around and issued a seven-song EP, Follow the Lights, that is absolutely in the same rarified league as Easy Tiger, emphasizing the latter’s country-folk side while taking a couple of side trips into contemplative confessi... Right on the heels of Ryan Adams' summer release Easy Tiger, the rocker will release a new EP with his backing band the Cardinals, titled Follow The Light. The EP, a collection of old and live recordings also features 2 new songs, the title track and "My Love For You Is Real." Both new tracks will also be played on some totally cheesy ABC series, October Road, when the show premiers on November 26th. Follow The Light hits stores on October 23rd. Follow The Lights track... I had no idea he was coming that close and was actually a little dismayed because I had been checking his site for tour dates somewhat regularly. I don't think I've mogged about my Ryan Adams thing, really. It began with falling hard for his album Cold Roses, my second-favorite double album next to Exile on Main Street. From there it moved on to a full-blown musical crush. My next favorite Ryan is Gold, then Heartbreaker, then Jacksonville City Nights. I had never been so pumped for a show in my life; I had scored sixth row seats to see Ryan Adams and The Cardinals at the Enmore Theatre, Sydney.
