By the time Radiohead came on stage Friday night at Outside Lands, the approximately 50,000 person+ crowd had spent at least $89 dollars for a ticket, endured hours of transportation woes, a tedium of lines, jam-packed crowds, fenced-in cattle-like scenarios, and cold, frigid temperatures throughout the day in the park. But if there was ANYTHING that could ease the pain, it was Radiohead. Battling Up The Hill to see Radiohead Despite two jarring sound malfuction... MORE

It's about one in the morning here in SF and my feet still ache just as much as they did three hours ago when a mass of 60,000 of us tried to exit Golden Gate Park, the site of this years Outside Lands Festival. As with every music festival known in the history of man, a swift exit was just not in the cards for us. After the crowd tore down a fence, we trampled through the forest and the trees in the park and started the two-mile trek back to the car. Now I know why they c... MORE
San Francisco’s Outside Lands, spread out over the verdant core of Golden Gate Park, in its first year, is one of the biggest music festival ever in Northern California. Friday’s show was expected to draw 50,000+ fans and in total draw about 180,000 people over the weekend. We came with merry thoughts of an ideal line-up, from Beck to Radiohead to Manu Chao and Cold War Kids, while relaxing under the trees. The benefit of the festival is it has an incredible forest atmos... MORE
after all the anticipation, the outside lands festival kicks off tonight with a terrific opening line-up capped, of course, by radiohead. you can find (and print) the stage and time slot assignments for all three days here . if there's one complaint we have looking forward to this evening it's how we're supposed to juggle more or less concurrent sets by beck, the black keys and lyrics born, all of which make our must-see list for the weekend. guess we'll manage s... The Radiohead performance did not disappoint during the San Francisco Outsideland Festival in Golden Gate Park. Until "In Rainbows" was released I was stuck in the back room at Tower Records Bay & Columbus location in North Beach listening to "OK Computer." Many thanks to photographer Jeff Kravitz who took these amazing shots of the band and their Bowie circa "Stage" lighting treatments, he was only allowed in the pit for the first two songs. Favorite song perfo... MORE
GRIZZLY BEAR Brooklyn-based Grizzly Bear was a treat onstage. All members contribute vocals (which is a rarity these days) to craft ethereal rock grooves- light, atmospheric, and harmony-friendly.

Radiohead is releasing their most recent basement tape footage via iTunes. Ten videos of tracks from Radiohead's In Rainbows, originally recorded at The Hospital studio in Covent Gardens for the band's longtime producer Nigel Godrich's 'From the Basement' TV series (http://www.fromthebasement.tv/), will be released. If you purchase the video collection iTunes throws in a bonus CD included with the album's deluxe disc box. These videos are major since Godrich helms the soun... MORE
So its been quite awhile since i've posted anything on here.sorry about that but i've had my hands full this whole summer. i did my share of traveling this summer from France to Montreal and back to the states has been quite the experience. I was able to catch a few shows here and there, Radiohead topping them all. I stood eight and a half hours in the same exact spot just to get a good glimpse of the band and i must admit it was well worth it. The only negative thing i... MORE
Radiohead recently completed a video for their song "House Of Cards" without the use of video cameras. The movements of Thom Yorke and the actors cast in the video were captured by structured light and lasers. Large scenes were filmed by using the Velodyne Lidar process, which used sixty four lasers shooting 900 times per minute. Close up scenes were captured by structured light. All of this "footage" will be made available to fans online so they can compile a music vi... MORE
