Today we continue with the 1994 Pandemonium tour t-shirt. After Extremities everything fell apart. Jaz fucked off and did a bunch of stuff. Geordie, Martin, Raven and Bechedel wanted to keep going so they enlisted Chris Connolly and Big Paul Fergusson (yes) for what would be known as the Murder Inc. project and attempted tours.
Up until 1994 Killing Joke seemed dead. Jaz was publicly upset with Geordie and Raven for defecting to Atkins for this project. By 1994 Geord... MORE
Killing Joke. But not your Killing Joke of the last 20 years. We are talking all original members. Which is huge. And catastrophic.
To camemorate this auspicious event I have agreed to wear a different Killing Joke t-shirt until the first day of the event.
So what does this tell you about me?
1. I am a fan boy. And as such fan boys should "fuck off".
2. I h... MORE
A year ago Monday will mark the one year anniversary of the death of Paul Raven. When his surviving band mates in Killing Joke stormed through New York City last weekend, they dedicated "Love Like Blood" to their fallen brother. It was quite something. Hoist a glass to the great man.
I signed on yesterday, and I had to mouse-wade through the ads to see where the hell to enter my password. Today, on the mainpage www.myspace.com, Steve Carrell and Anne Hathaway stand on either side of the front page- like lions in front of mystical gates- looking quite intimidating and accusatory. And what's with the top that says "New to myspace? Take a Tour/ Latino." Is that not a bit strange? Evidently they have launched a Latino version of Myspace (complete with ... MORE
Killing Joke is reuniting with the original line-up after 26 years apart! Vocalist/keyboardist Jaz Coleman, guitarist Geordie Walker, drummer Paul Ferguson, and bassist Martin "Youth" Glover announced plans for an album release this summer and tour beginning in September. According to HARP Magazine, the confirmed dates thus far cover Japan, Europe, London, NYC and L.A. HARP also reported that the tour is set up with back-to-back dates with a different set list each of t... MORE
Today's shirt doesn't have much behind it. Well.... This shirt was originally spotted by one Big Paul Fergusson. And everyone on the Gathering.....wait I didn't tell you about the Gathering? You don't know? The Gathering (not the excellent song from Fire Dances, but no coincidence) is a email lost about everything and anything Killing Joke. It has been going since the mid 90's. I joined in 98...I think. It is useful, annoying, tedious and exhausting all at the... MORE
HOLY HOLLLLLLLYYYYYYYYYY FUCKING SHIT BATMAN/JESUS?GOD?ALLAH?WHATEVER YOU WANT TO PRAISE! We had to take a 6:30 AM flight into NYC for several reasons. 1. We are both pretty broke right now and we need to work as much as possible. 2. The better/smarter half is going for her masters degree. And d-day is just around the corner. 3. We flew in real early so we can visit with my mother. So what that means is we were REAL busy the night before. Got real drunk. Got up... MORE

Countdown
Armageddon
By the time 2006 rolls around we see Killing Joke going through their usual rampage of grandiose plans and preaching the inevitable end time message of the world. BUT...we get a new album. And this time it seems to be with a stable line up. Ben on drums and Rez on keyboards. A new album is produced and the market is flooded with fantastic reissues and obscure material.
Hosannas is an okay record. Under produced and the songs could ... MORE
The Death and Resurrection Show
2003. A lot of things happened. I graduated from college, bought my first, and only, house and Killing Joke put out a new album.
Only 7 years since Democracy fizzled out. This time around Youth was on board, Raven was back in the fold, Dave Grohl was playing drums and more importantly, in my opinion, Dave Gill of Gang of Four fame was behind the console. It took a while to finish. But it was good. The song writing wa... MORE
The 2003 mayhem came and went. Life was on the upswing. There is only one place to go.
Down.
For the next 2.5 years I will experience more gut wrenching, heart breaking moments that I could never go through again. It will kill me. I wish I was kidding but it was one tragedy after another.
Up to this point I was struggling like every Joe Schmoe (pretty common with our current climate). I was out of school and it was really hard to land a stable job. Eventually I did... MORE
