Just read the new bio of Iggy Pop "Open Up and Bleed." Think I'll hop in the shower and get that decadence off-a me! Needless to say I could hardly put the book down. Great photos too! Not much needs to be said about the influence of Iggy and The Stooges. I am impressed by his "indomitable spirit," as the saying goes. Not to mention physicality, which seems to keep getting more pumped up, the older and more sober he gets!

Here are a couple of clips from his mid-career single "Lust for Life," followed by use of the Pop/Bowie song in a TV commercial. Since Royal Caribbean is not a hedonistic cruise, I trust they didn't bother looking into the lyrics:
