i dont do drugs, seriously. but this game that ive been playing lately HAD to have been created by drugies of the upmth degree. its called 'audiosurf' and its like mixing some space ship racing game with guitar hero.
heres the deal:
you upload any song from your computer into the game and they scan it, creating a virtual 'track.' you pilot a space ship(~) that cruises down the highway, and collect colored blocks(~). difficulty depends on how crazy the song is. if you are playing a slow song, you can expect an uphill joy ride. a fast song with get you a one way ticket down devils cannon. there are several different modes, but i prefer mono. thats where you have to collect at least three blocks of the same color in order for them to cash in points(~), and dodge all the grey ones. it keeps track of your scores and compares them to other people playing the same songs. there is even a 'free ride' mode that lets you just float down the track and "enjoy the scenery" with no worries about points or anything(~).

i know my geek is showing, but its a fun new interactive way to listen to music! there are times when my jaw just drops and i sit there in awe at how epic some songs can look visually. i did a pretty bad job explaining it, so watch and try not to have a seizer. RIDE THE BEAT!

aug: did you see the end!? its absolute chaos!! 'festival' off the new album is just like that. its suuuuper chill at the beginning (all up hill) then half way through it goes straight down and i start foaming at the mouth.

cinful: just jump on free ride and cooooast. the easier levels have empty lanes where blocks dont fall, so on harder parts like that i usually just chill over there.
