This is shaping up to be a really great year for me musically.  It has been quite a few years since I have found so many really good releases that appeal to me.  They may not work for you, but for me...

Here's another new release that really has my ear at the moment.  I want to let you know that this is nothing like the blistering Live At Pachyderm Studios.  This release finds Mato in a more AAA / Americana vibe.  That is not a knock on Broken Lands at all.  There is still plenty of guitar, but in the context of some really great songs.  You can still hear Stevie Ray in the vocals but think more along the lines of Life By the Drop rather than Texas Flood.  Here the guitar solos fit the song rather than the songs being a vehicle for the solo.

This is another one I have been listening to for the past month.  I am still not tired of it yet and finally got the CD to play in the car (mp3 burns have no drive to them imho).  Check it out.  It sounds really good loud!
