.....if that title doesn't get me some hits I don't know what will... ha... ...and speaking of hits... Canadian supergroup The New Pornographers contains the likes of A.C. (Carl) Newman, Neko Case, Dan Bejar (of Destroyer fame) and more... They make sparkling, intelligent music for people that like some talent to go along with the hooks... According to Rolling Stone, A.C. Newman and Neko Case are assembling demos for the next ensemble record as The New Pornographers. Obviously, no release date is set, and there's not much else we know about the release, but it's still exciting news!

The New Pornographers recently released this new animated video for the Challengers track "Myriad Harbour." The afro-friendly video was directed by Mark Lomond of the Flourescent Hill directors collective, based in Montreal.

The joint Americo-Canadian coalition of The New Pornographers were recently Sydney, Australia playing an eighteen song set to fans. Happily, there was a video camera present. The gig took place on October 12, 2008 at the Annandale Hotel in Antipodeanland.
