I saw Say Hi To Your Mom last night at the Rock & Roll Hotel in DC... it was a great show. They are really good live, and the set was a good sampling of some of their best tunes, even though they only got to play for about 45 minutes. They are currently on tour with +/- and Bishop Allen. i'm back. i like road trips, really i do. i would go so far as to say that they are one of my favorite things, period. but there are certain conditions which, when combined, seriously deplete the store of love i have, and even sour my feelings to something akin to hatred. if:a) my mother is in the carb) so are my little brother and sisterc) i can't pick the musicd) i have to spend time in the backseate) there is no leg roomf) i can't smokeg) the batteries on my cd play... okay, so i was just walking around the office in a fit of utter boredom, and i saw this tacked to jason's (coworker) cubicle: Christmas is coming.Carols I will be humming.Lyla is bumming. It's called "Jason's Christmas Haiku" and I can only assume it was written after I made my boss turn the speaker above my head ALL THE WAY DOWN because of the christmas music playing. Took us like a half hour to figure it out.I want to like, tell him that that's not an actual haiku. ... MORE

This s the first band I seem to have come to like by browsing "Mogs like me". WOOHOO! This might bea good thing. I'll have to tell Katie bout this onc eshe actualy joins...
Firstly, great song. Secondly, a couple great films Saints and Soldiers, Jeremiah Johnson, and you and me and everyone we know. Sorry for such a crappy short post but I'm utterly tired. Feast on the words of the dead and your life will pass on-bye.
