from the website:
Experience the tastiest sounds and sights in San Francisco over Labor Day Weekend! The food will be slow and tasty and the music world class at Slow Food Rocks, a two-day festival coinciding with the inaugural Slow Food Nation convention. The main course: world-class rock and pop bands. The icing on the cake: extraordinary views of the magical Golden Gate Bridge from the Great Meadow at Fort Mason. This is one of the few public gatherings allowed there this year!
(full disclosure - again this is a festival I am involved in so yes this is a bit of shilling for the man who pays my rent)

packed up close for Wilco ^

the crowd groovin to Robert Randolph ^

(hula hooping to Ben Harper up the mountain from the fest)
long time away from mog. love you guys and missed y'all. just got home from the mangy moose where ben harper and robert randolph both sat in with house band after crazy shows at the innaugural jackson hole music festival.
in full disclosure i work for the company that created this festival (festival network) so be forewarned ok? that said, those that remember me know i'm a truthteller versus a pure corporate shill.
am i allowed to say this was an incredible glow generating first year festival? i think so - it actually was.

i love it when you hear new music and it sounds both fresh and like something you've known for years. I was just turned on to Todd Hannigan and that description fits his music perfectly. I feel like Todd's music is something i have on vinyl in a crate somewhere. . . there is something perfectly sticky about this . . . and original, unique, familiar...my friend is working on some new music with Todd and turned me on. vey very tasty indeed and i'm psyched to hear his Vol 2 & 3

Your description fit perfectly. Hannigan juxtaposes quietly strumming unpredictable but convincing chords on his guitar, singing with adroit grace a fine melody of short notes and conversational rhythm, and an occasional high eerie organ counterpoint. Hereby he creates a new sound.
An interesting sound, whelming from the heartland, floating in space.

Personally, i find this lineup much more attractive than the Outlands fest offers. I'd love to see a few acts at Outlands, but of course they're on different days...
would LOVE to see Gnarls and MMW, not to mention G.Love and Ozo. thanks for the info, maybe see you there!
