When I first heard about Self, I was living in Claremont, California. I was about 13 and my favorite radio station KROQ had just come out with a new music cd.

Met Matt Mahaffey at Dancin' in the District in '96 after one of Self's shows. He wrote "See You In Cali! Matt Mahaffey." And then I moved to Nashville, ended up going to MTSU, and now he's in California. Funny, eh?

I like "Trunk Fulla Amps" from Gizmodgery. Couple other great songs on that record, too.
