...preggo. Seems the "Paper Planes"-singer was knocked-up by her fiance/the Exit frontman/son of a Sony CEO Ben Brewer, which now makes all those retirement rumors make SO much more sense. This past weekend M.I.A. pulled a Jay-Z and came out of retirement as one of many performers at Diesel's 30th anniversary party in NYC, where her baby bump was publicly revealed AND looked like it was 4 months+ along.
But just cause she's got something cookin' in the oven hasn't slowed M.I.A. down too much. According to the folks at Pitchfork, she has already recorded some tracks for her Kala follow-up, as well as her own take on the Tom Waits/The Wire theme song "Way Down in the Hole." And she's signed teen rapper Rye Rye (who can be seen in the YouTube video from the Diesel party below) to her own label.
