While Iceland is suffering its own financial crisis, the country's own Sigur Ros are trying to restore some calm with their official video for the Med Sud I Eyrum Vid Spilum Endalaust track "Inní Mér Syngur Vitleysingur (Within Me a Lunatic Sings.)" Perhaps the band's feeling the country's financial woes, because instead of getting buck naked and running around a New York State Park with a handful of models, Sigur Ros settled for a live cut of the song from their June "save Iceland" Nattura concert with Bjork. At the time the only thing the band and Bjork were trying to save was the country's resources and pristine beauty. Sadly, this week it's the county's central banks that need saving (They shouldn't have spent all that money for that big dam!)

But if you are in the mood for something a little more creative from Sigur Ros, let me take you back to the nine-minute Ágætis byrjun track "Svefn-G-Englar." (Gazoontite!) MTV UK just named the music video one of the five best ever made, behind Duran Duran's "Rio," Bjork's "All Is Full Of Love," A-Ha's "Take On Me" and Michael Jackson's "Thriller." Good work boys!

Late to this post but surprised they don't have more naked people in their latest vid! That was so cool, especially since most sites that hosted the vid censored it so you had to really search it out to find the original. They should do all their vids naked from now on just to spite puritanical censorship!
