WHERE JIMI JANIS AND JIM WOULD HAVE BLOGGED

Artist:
Album:

Seems karma came a knockin' for Oasis guitarist Noel Gallagher. Last night Gallagher, who infamously bashed Jay-Z's headlining spot on this year's Glastonbury bill, was knocked to the ground mid-performance by a fan during the band's headlining set at the Toronto V Festival on Toronto Island Park. (You bet there's video!)

The band was performing "(What's The Story) Morning Glory?" when a guy ran up and shoved Gallagher to the floor. Security tackled him before anyone else got hurt. There was a five minute break in the set, before the band returned to finish the set off with another six tunes, among them a cover of the Beatles' "I Am The Walrus."

According to the band, Gallagher "fell heavily onto his monitor speakers" and was taken to a local hospital "to be examined for a suspected fractured rib and ligament damage."

Fan attack happens at about 1:30 on this one...

This footage does a good job of capturing what a rocking good time it was before the incident and the crowd's reaction...

Wow, he really gets hit. Must have hurt. What an ass that kid is. I mean like them or not, why would you go up and hit someone on stage who has no idea you're coming at them?

agreed. at first i thought it was funny and thought that douche gallagher deserves it. then i watched it a few more times and saw how intensely he got hit and was like "shit! that was not cool. it looked like it hurt!"

what ever happened to the good 'ol days of soy bomb?

I laughed at Gallager's fall, I hate Oasis, they suck, but I'm an idiot...I guess it's better than Nathan Gale getting up on stage and killing Dimebag and 3 crew members...

BUT, the Soy bomb was comical too...that was some style, what kinda dance was that anyway?

Instant Kharma's Gonna Get You.....I also have never liked Oasis since they claimed they were better than the Beatles; they are so full of themselves anyway.  But I do agree with sonical---physical violence, especially when inflicted upon someone who has no warning at all, is NOT cool.

I may be in the minority, but I like Oasis and think Noel is annoying at times, but has his heart in the right place.  If you see his interviews when he disucsses other artists, he is usually quite insight ful. He certainly is not boring -- and concerts are too much of a police state these days anyway. The last thing we need is jerk attacking folks on stage like this freaker.

I don't think karma's about being physically injured because you express an opinion.

Not cool & I DESPISE Oasis although I do acknowledge their songwriting talents. Give me BLUR, BLUR, BLUR all the way! Damon Albarn is GOD! ahahahaha. It's funny how their new single sounds very 'Bluresque'.

Physical violence isn't deserved by anyone, especially unaware like that. The Gallagher Brothers are still wanks though, lol

Sam-- I'm not against expressing an opinion, just over the top arrogance.....but, as I said, I still don't think he deserved to be physically slammed!

Well, I'm glad to have found some people against what happened to Noel. I like Oasis very much, not their greatest fan though. And yes, the band has some arrogant attitude which many people don't like; but that's Oasis, that's the way Oasis is! So I'd tell all those who can't stand Oasis' attitude "don't go to the band's' shows if u don't like the band as it is." I don't think artists in general and their fans deserve this sort of acts.
